A king was having secret affair/hookup with his 2 sister in laws. Ik kings having mistresses was normal but they r not only his sister in laws but r also married to very influential men from another country so public knowledge of the affairs may lead to huge scandal n other problems so this was kept a secret.
One day the 14 year old princess caught her father with both her aunts n she was furious, threatened to make the secret thing public n create a scandal. How would the king manage the situation and keep his daughter silent.
Is he likely to bribe her with gifts in exchange for her silence but then there is a chance that she might take the gifts n expose the scandal anyway cuz she’s furious. Or he is more likely to threaten her into silence, in this case what can he use to threaten her so that the girl who was previously furious would be too scared to expose the scandal. I am more inclined to write on the 2nd one as it sounds more effective but i am not sure what threat might scare her too much that she’ll forget her rage n keep silent
He could speak with her alone and try persuade her that's it's none of her business but if she proves intransigent, he could simply start punishing her, say like dismissing loyal staff and even removing her from court. Also never underestimate the power of gaslighting and isolation. He could even have her framed for lying about something to discredit her word or perhaps have you consider the King threatening/or actually outing a secret of hers (say she's sneaks out at night or has done something questionaboe in the past).
