Guys Read: Funny Business Vol.1 of Guys Read Library Rating: ❤❤❤❤ Guys Read: Funny Business is the first volume of the Guys Read Library, a set of original stories and illustrations that aims to encourage guys to read. Funny Business is just that: guys-oriented and hilarious. I'm not a guy but I could not put this book down. I especially adored Jon Sciezka and Kate DiCamillo's "Your Question for Author Here". It is reminiscent of Beverly Cleary's Dear Mr. Henshaw but instead of tears, this one... actually it might induce tears but definitely because of the undeniable humor of DiCamillo and Sciezka. It made laugh and made me want to write again. Another I found hilarious is Eoin Colfer's "Artemis Begins". Before you judge me of being biased, let it be known that I haven't read Artemis Fowl. I know I'm a shame. Well, after this story, Artemis Fowl has definitely been bumped up my reading list (yes, there is definitely a list). I didn't really find every story laugh-out-loud funny but that did not take away the success that is Funny Business. I'd definitely recommend this to my guy friends and my girl friends in need of cheering up. I'd end with a joke but I know myself enough that I'm not even going to try.
