It will be great if you describe several characters с:
heartbreak, ghost, bound, mistake
Halljor Rimeheart
heartbreak: Have they ever had a relationship that ended badly? Experienced some other kind of heartbreak? What happened?
Halljor’s had a lot of one night stands where both her and the other person knew it wouldn’t last. She’s never had a bad relationship thankfully! She has had heartbreak but not the romantic sort, her parents were killed by sons of svanir when she was a little girl, it left her alone for a long time.
ghost: Who or what haunts your OC? What happened? How do they live with their ghosts?
Well she’s quite literally haunted by her entire extended family from the mists! She had a strong connection to the mists, and after the deaths of the rest of her family, she was alone in the world. The Rimeheart family was once grand but she was the only one left after the slaughter (and their numbers were already dwindling at that time due to fighting icebrood). Except then the ghosts of her family started appearing to her, not just those she had known when they were alive, but some of her legendary ancestors as well! They ended up raising her, so she may have been alone in the world but she was never lonely. In a less literal sense the deaths she saw with her own eyes never quite left her. Sometimes she has nightmares about that night even though it's been years.
bound: Has your OC ever been imprisoned or captured? What happened? How did they get out? Did the experience leave any scars?
Halljor has never been captured, surprisingly!
mistake: What's the worst mistake your OC ever made? What led to them making it? Have they been able to fix it? How have they moved on?
Halljor’s pretty good and most of her mistakes have been as a result of her heavy handed approach to things. She’s broken many valuable items and upset people before but has always repaid them! Her worst mistake though, was probably when she set off many traps when helping a party of priory scholars in a dungeon. One of them was severely injured but did recover in the end. It doesn’t bother her too much anymore because she helped to heal the poor guy and they keep in touch nowadays. Halljor has a pretty easy time moving on from most things to be honest, and the fact that he was okay in the end helped.
Flikk
heartbreak: Have they ever had a relationship that ended badly? Experienced some other kind of heartbreak? What happened?
Oh yes hahaha. Flikk had a very close romantic relationship with his krewemate Teela. They both had been childhood best friends and went to college together and built their little krewe from the ground up. They were close enough that they even considered getting married and maybe even having kids one day. Both of them were too immature at the time and Flikk was lured away from her by the promise of his theory becoming reality through inquest funding. They had a huge fight about it and in the end he picked fame and his project over her. It hurt both of them horribly and they didn’t see each other after that. After the lab explosion and once he regained his memory he deeply regretted what he did. He could’ve been happy with her and was too selfish to see it all those years ago.
ghost: Who or what haunts your OC? What happened? How do they live with their ghosts?
His former self haunts him. Flikk used to be full of himself and once he joined the inquest they also nurtured a cold cruelty in him that grew with time. He oversaw horrible experiments and killed many sylvari to make his theory of creating an artificial dream link reality. Then in an accident he lost his memory and became a much kinder asura. As time passed though, he started to remember what he’d done, until it all came back to him. He’s currently struggling with it, he did awful things but also completely changed, and it’s a lot for him to grapple with.
bound: Has your OC ever been imprisoned or captured? What happened? How did they get out? Did the experience leave any scars?
Flikk has always been the one doing the imprisoning, never the one imprisoned.
mistake: What's the worst mistake your OC ever made? What led to them making it? Have they been able to fix it? How have they moved on?
There are many awful things he’s done, but the worst thing he considers to be hurting his best friend, Finnegan. Before losing his memories Flikk had experimented on Finny and as a result Finn now has a spinal implant and was scarred from it. The two then found each other in the wreckage of the lab, neither one remembered anything and the two traveled together and became close over time. He’ll never forgive himself for it, the implants are a permanent reminder of who he was and what he did to the person he considers his best friend.
Guyy
heartbreak: Have they ever had a relationship that ended badly? Experienced some other kind of heartbreak? What happened?
He experienced familial heartbreak a few times. He learned pretty early on that his parents didn’t care much for him, he wasn’t even a fraction of what they had set him up to be (his brother was the perfect one in their eyes but he didn’t like them either). It hurt him when he was younger but as he got older he stopped caring as much about them, and eventually cut ties with them. The greatest heartbreak was losing his older brother Morru. Morru was mentoring him on their first pact sabotage mission which involved sneaking into Rata Primus and stealing valuable inquest knowledge and tech. Their cover was blown and Morru sacrificed himself to save Guyy, who made it out with the information. He loved his brother more than anyone in the world.
ghost: Who or what haunts your OC? What happened? How do they live with their ghosts?
The death of Morru. For years Guyy had looked up to him and the two were very close despite their age gap. Guyy had always known he wasn’t particularly good at anything, he dropped out of college and had no skills. Morru was extremely talented and an amazing whispers spy, and then for him to go and sacrifice himself for someone as useless as Guyy… it lingered with him for a long time. He didn’t feel he was worth it in the end, and the memories of his brother still haunt him.
bound: Has your OC ever been imprisoned or captured? What happened? How did they get out? Did the experience leave any scars?
Guyy was nearly captured by the inquest, he escaped but not without scars, he has a few on his back from the inquest taking shots at him on his way out of the facility.
mistake: What's the worst mistake your OC ever made? What led to them making it? Have they been able to fix it? How have they moved on?
In his eyes it’s getting his brother killed (which wasn’t his fault). In actuality Guyy is very sweet and nice and hasn’t done much of anything bad! Once as a kid he swiped some alcohol from a store and he felt so bad about it that he returned it and paid for it with tears in his eyes. Morru gave him a hard time about it for sure, he couldn’t stop laughing at his baby brother’s idea of a serious crime.
Turork
heartbreak: Have they ever had a relationship that ended badly? Experienced some other kind of heartbreak? What happened?
Turork’s relationships with his family all ended badly in that he had most of them killed indirectly, and his cousin that survived exposed his villainy to the entire Olmakhan community. They would’ve cast him out if he hadn’t run first. He doesn’t regret most of the deaths, so I guess he’s been the one causing heartbreak.
ghost: Who or what haunts your OC? What happened? How do they live with their ghosts?
Turork isn’t really haunted by what he’s done. He’s haunted in a sense by my commander, or at least his idea of her. She rescued Turork’s cousin, Venturia, and returned with her to the Olmakhan. She could care less about him but he’s convinced that to this day she’s plotting his death, which is why he’s constantly on the move (he’s not very smart).
bound: Has your OC ever been imprisoned or captured? What happened? How did they get out? Did the experience leave any scars?
In his job as a bounty hunter he actually has been captured before, it was never significant and he easily broke out every time.
mistake: What's the worst mistake your OC ever made? What led to them making it? Have they been able to fix it? How have they moved on?
Turork’s worst mistake was probably leading the inquest directly to his village, so many were slaughtered. He doesn’t really care though, he’s always more worried about himself.
Guyy lore real
- he’s the baby boy of the family but was always overshadowed by his brother, who was a few years older than him and in college when Guyy was still a kid. Despite the age gap they’re very close
- Even though his brother was more talented and already making breakthroughs in his research, Guyy never had resentment towards him. He’s proud of his big bro! (who we’ll call Morru for now)
- his parents did give him a hard time though, often pressuring him, why couldn’t he be more like Morr.
- I think part of why they pressured him is that he wasn’t really ambitious at all, very much a daydreamer who spent a lot of time in his head.
- He dropped out of college to join the priory, where he felt he could hopefully find his place. He absolutely loved it!! He slowly made friends and felt useful there! His brother had joined the whispers and would check in on him
- Morru hated that his parents were hard on Guyy, he never wanted to be set up as an expectation Guyy had to overcome to be worth something. He’s glad that his little brother finally began to thrive away from rata sum
- Guyy was a pretty minor priory person, like I mentioned before his first big mission was the inquest sabotage. For the most part he would do field research where needed, or just help at the actual priory.
- He’s such a sweetie, but also a little naive and overly trusting. Morru always kept an eye on him, anyone who tried anything with Guyy quickly learned to never mess with him again. It is so so easy to trick this man, he truly tries to believe the best of everyone
- When Morru dies Guyy finds out that he’s inherited some really nice things, including a house that he eventually lives in with Turork.
- Guyy really likes making terrariums. He’s got a whole bunch of them that he takes really good care of. He’s also into fishkeeping
Giving Turork a friend so he can become a better person against his will. Say hello to Guyy!
