Been rewatching riptide, so heres some mildly chopped lookin doodles of the trio (aka my first riptide drawings since the hiatus)

To this dayyyy i refuse to believe these characters canonical hieghts, bro. Like out of sheer spite atp. Just pure commitmemt to the bit. Any attempts to get me to do otherwise are just gonna make me double down even harder.

The concept of terrifying op unhinged fish creature himbo guy is no fun if he isnt also Fucking Huge in every way shape and form. Like gimenamamorphus... gigantasaurus... r whatever you say.... gimenamorus... mhm. gimournous.

Also i think Chip should be short, mostly bc he would hate it. He seems like the type of guy who would lie about his height cuz hes insecure abt it. He wears a too big hat and a too big coat to try and look like he has more aura than he actualy does. Like a bird purposefully fluffing up its feathers to look scary. Or something. idk. is that how birds work?? Whatever. Hes failing miserably btw. The big clothes just make him look even smaller in comparison.

His outfit also looks a little costume-y i think. Almost like hes cosplaying as a """real pirate""". Like he has crazy impostor sindrome and is using the fake it till u make it method. Do you know what i mean? Do u see the vision?

The only thing i have to say about Jays design is that there was a throwaway bit literally in like episode 1 where they said her pants were way too big for her and she had an unreasonable amount of belts on to keep them up, and my brain really latched onto that image for some reason, so like... yeah. Ive been drawing her with really big baggy pants and a buncha belts ever since lmao
