Light Blue Tints Appear On The adidas Yeezy Boost 350 v2 “Mono Ice”

Going into 2021, adidas Yeezy is making some big, big changes. Following further iterations of old favorites, the brand will offer an entirely remodeled Yeezy Boost 350 v2, one that proffers new constructions alongside new colorways like the “Mono Ice.”

One part to a much larger collection, the scheme adds new flavors to the typically drab line-up. Light, aqua blues dress most of the upper, dyeing into a fabric that’s not Primeknit but a monofilament mesh. This allows for the cages underneath to better reveal, creating a stark visual contrast between the knit designs of the pair’s predecessors. Elsewhere, white neutrals dress both the interior as well as the laces and sole, while the heel tab bears a cool tone a touch darker than the aforementioned.

After a relatively quiet start to the year, adidas Yeezy is ramping up right in time for the Summer. And come June, we’ll have the entire “Mono” pack of Yeezy Boost 350 v2s to enjoy.

A stark contrast to its iterations prior, the forthcoming “Clay,” “Ice,” and “Mist” colorways feature new tweaks to the silhouette’s structural design. Instead of the usual Primeknit, each opts for a sheer, monofilament mesh that’s complemented by a matching inner cage. What’s more, the side stripe shades to each respective lead, while the laces and back heel tab prefer a somewhat lighter hue.

Aside from their choice of hue — “Clay,” “Mist,” and “Ice” — each is identical in construction, making use of a newly adopted monofilament mesh. This provides the upper a sheer look that reveals the inner cage just one more layer deep.
