For me personally representation of LGBTQIA+ people is important because it helps shape attitudes of non-queer people but more importantly it can help us accept who we are, find people to identify with, make friends with other queer people through fandoms. Most of the stereotypes people have about minority groups or groups that are discriminated against are partially because of how the media portrays them and I think, personally, that having more accurate, positive portrayals of queer characters is one of the only ways we’ll be able to move away from the harmful, negative society that we still live in. Obviously there are other factors but what else reaches the massive audience like the media does?
One of the characters I identified with when I was in the process of coming out was Kurt Hummel from Glee, he was pretty much the only queer character I was aware of in mainstream media, he went through a lot of the things that I went through and so he became really really important to me. Even now, when I really don’t like Glee anymore I still feel like I have this, I don’t know, bond with that character and Chris Colfer, who plays him, will always mean a lot to me as one of the first out and proud celebrities I was aware of.

WELL. BACK IN THE DAY I WAS OBSESSED WITH AN ANIME CALLED EXCEL SAGA. MENCHI WAS THE DOG IN THAT SHOW. (also known as the main character's emergency food supply). Somehow I nicknamed myself after Menchi and added a lil because my surname is little. (I do actually make puns out of my surname, which makes my friends groan and strangers confused)

I have 0 confidence in myself/my abilities, which has probably caused me to miss out on tons of opportunities, being friends with people, and fun things. Strengths, I care a lot about people, and won't give up on them. I've only ever once had a friendship break up because of a fight/problem.

Jason Dohring. Logan Echolls from Veronica Mars. Holy crap did I have a major crush on him after I watched that show. I freaked out so much when he was announced for an ep of Supernatural.
15) How do you vent your anger?
Cry and rant alone in my room or try and ignore it.

I'M TERRIBLE. I COME FROM A FAMILY OF COLLECTORS. At the moment, it's idol CDs. I love to have full sets of things, which is not good for my wallet xD

Yes and no, but overall it'd be a yes. No matter what path I'd have taken there'd be good and bad, and I'd like to think I could be doing a lot worse.

Crickets at night when I'm trying to sleep. the bastards. Sound I love? The sound of a can opening.

Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I'd gone to Uni instead of TAFE. The people I would have met, what opportunities I missed out on, would I have gotten more confident or happy in that environment... but yeah same as 17 xD;

I like to believe in both, but I'm a bit hesitant to say 100% yes or no. (that's probably become pretty obvious if you've read all of these so far haha. modality? everything's a maybe!)

I wouldn't really know haha. As for friends, just communicating? Shared interests, trust, being able to recognise and accept faults, or things you don't agree with/like.
