Omigosh I kept forgetting to respond to this for so long, I'm sorryyyy ToT

2) Is it easier to draw someone facing left or right (or forward even)?

I think I have a tendency to draw people facing left XD (My left, that is)

3) What ideas come from when you were little?

I'm honestly not sure o3o I guess I've always wished I could have a pair of wings, and that's why I gave a pair (off and on) to Applesauce loll

19) Favorite inanimate objects to draw (food, nature, etc.)?

I suppose trees or hats? But I don't draw many inanimate objects besides those honestly. I should practice more ^^;

28) Any art events you have participated in the past (like zines)?

I was the head mod (and a contributor) to Epilogue: A Lost Legends Zine (@lost-legends-zine), which is one of my crowning achievements uwu I was also a mod and contributor to the first volume of the Wish Granted Zine (@wishgrantedzine). I wasn't nearly as involved with that one as I was with Epilogue though, lol. Besides that I was also a storyboard artist on Gravity Falls: Deep Woods (@gfdeepwoods), an artist in the Gravity Falls Reanimated Collab (the Tourist Trapped one, not the ATOTS from 2024 (though I WAS in the ATOTS reanimated before that - the one got cancelled lmbo)) And I was a contributor to a Gravity Falls lyric comic, but I think that post got deleted? But still, yeah, a lot of Gravity Falls projects XD (For someone that wasn't a notable name in the fandom, I sure got around lolll)

29) Media you love, but doesn’t inspire you artistically?

This question has come back to mind off and on since I read it, and it's one of those kinda questions I can easily overthink, so it's been difficult to answer lol. (Probably part of the reason I didn't respond til now XD;) It makes me stop and wonder how to define "inspire". Does it mean that I look at something and go "I wanna make something like THAT", or "I wanna make something THAT GOOD"? If it's the former, then there are very few things that inspire me, despite how much stuff I love. If the latter, then it's like, everything. Even really shoddy media is at least a little inspiring just for the fact that it exists.

But this is me overthinking it, so let's say it's the former XD Something I love, but it doesn't get the art juices flowing. Honestly that could still be a lot of things but I'll just pick one and sayyyy uhhhhh.. Spy x Family, or Delicious in Dungeon lol. Really love both these shows, but I just love watching them XD Not the kinda stuff that makes me go "OOOOH I NEED TO BE IN THIS WORLD I NEED TO MAKE SOMETHINGGG", if that makes sense?

The Anachronist!

I've had this open in it's own tab for probably 2+ hours trying to figure out how to talk about some of the OCs that have been living in my head for 13 years XD; Boy I'm not good at this djkasljlka so, that being said, I'll just try rambling about them a bit instead of writing a proper summary lolll

Do you remember several years ago when there were lots of "only 90s kids remember" memes and copypastas? (Especially on ff/net profiles XD) That was what gave me the initial idea of The Anachronist. A teen boy, Skyler Chase, who embodies 90's culture, living, breathing, dressing and speaking it, while living in the current day. Not only him, but his entire town in fact - different people would take on different time periods as part of their identities and expressions. Skyler's parents repped some 50's aesthetics while his best friend, Rocky, leans more into 80's vibes. Anything from the Space Age to the Victorian Era and beyond could be seen walking down the street. All except Melanie, the new girl in town, who couldn't care less for all this dumb retro junk and asserts that Skyler and Rocky need to get with the times. (Even though secretly, she also loved 90's culture too)

It was originally an idea I wanted to turn into a long series set in high school, with some slice-of-life/shenanigans of the week type of episodes and long arcing continuity. However, I've been realizing that high school set stories are not something I'm good at coming up with possibly because I'm homeschooled lmbo and long series are not something I'm experienced with. Recently I've come back to the character concepts and decided to rework them into something simpler; one single short story, as follows:

Skyler Chase wants one thing, and one thing only; a machine that will play his old tape without destroying it, so he can relive a certain, precious memory. After a long summer of seeing "fashionable anachronistic eras" come and go for quick bucks at The Rewind, the only video store left in town, he finally almost has enough cash saved up for his own VCR. All he has to do is get his hands on one before the flimsy whims of trendiness change, and snatch away his last chance.

I think that's the best summary I can come up with at the moment XD I don't wanna give away too much, but trust that Rocky and Melanie still play important roles in the story ;p Tbh I'm still getting a lot of it figured out, but hopefully one day I'll finally make a proper short of this. It'd be so nice to finally see these guys come to life c:

5) What’s your favorite piece of furniture and where did you get it?

I haven't bought many pieces of furniture yet, but my favorite might be either my bed frame, or my bookshelf. The bed frame is a nice wrought iron one with really lovely heart shapes making up the head and foot, I love it a lot :3 Got it on wayfair.com a few years ago. The bookshelf is one that my parents in-law got for me from a thirft store right before I moved in ^^ It's not super fancy but it's a nice dark brown, it's big, and it gets the job done. (Extra shout-out to my indoor sleeping hammock, which I got on amazon XD)

14) What’s a hobby you’d like to get into?

If glassblowing counts, then absolutely glassblowing XD If I could do whatever I wanted, I'd also say traveling lollll. (That's a real expensive hobby though OTL) There are tons of fiber arts I'd love to get into, but those are at the top of my list lol

16) How long have you known your oldest friend?

Not counting family, @savannahsdrabbles and I have known each other forrrr.... 13 years now? Almost half my life. Wild ;w; <3

19) How many wisdom teeth do you have and have you had any removed?

I don't know how many are back there, but I haven't had any removed. I'm pretty sure I felt them come in, but the pain wasn't bad enough to bring up to anyone so, I never saw a dentist about it lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

29) Do you have houseplants and how are you at keeping them alive?

I do, I have one succulent named Mabel!

She got a bit of sunburn, but other than that I think she's doing pretty good so far? She doesn't seem to be getting much taller anymore though, dunno if I should be worried about that o3o;

3) What are you looking forward to right now?

Living on my own with my husband. We've been living with his parents since we got married last year to save up money and stuff. It's been really helpful, and they're great people, but I'm really looking forward to just being in completely our own space XD

5) What’s your drink of choice? (Coffee/tea order, alcohol of choice, pop, etc)

These days, generally just ice water ;p Maybe some juice, or a smoothie if I'm having a special breakfast. But if I were to splurge... chocolate milk, always >w>

7) What’s your favorite way to travel? Is there a mode of travel you haven’t done that you want to experience?
