(i’ll be keeping a sort of rambling account of shooting twenty-ish houses this month... hoping i learn a hell of a lot by the end of this...)
First House: shot this house last week - first time shooting for a company out west. spent way too much time figuring out my camera and switching lenses.... planned on using the tamron 28-75 as much as my rokinon 14mm.... in the end it didn’t open up the space enough. had to re-shoot the entire house with the rokinon. whole shoot took a solid two hours (so bad).
also made the mistake of shooting with nikon’s built-in hdr mode, which can only operate in jpeg format. didn’t figure out why this would be a problem until later, when i couldn’t use any of the rokinon lens profiles to fix distortion.
went straight to le garage, edited for about 2.5 hours... photos looked good, but wayyyyyy too much time was spent tweaking the lens distortion. also edited this in both lightroom and photoscape (for some finishing touches). completely unnecessary.... sticking to lightroom from now on.
