I’m unsure if this is still active but what game engine did you guys use to make hearts and heroes? :3 I’m looking to make something similar so I’m intrigued 🥰

Also to this day, this game is still my favorite to play 💙

Where can I find the assets for this game? I'm another fan game dev who's looking for some good enemy graphics (you guys did some really good ones, from what I remember), and you seem to know what you're doing with music. Are these assets available to use, or are they not allowed for use in other games?

Many of the assets for the game were made custom by the team or were gotten from the free asset library for RPG Maker. All the music for the game was also custom made or edited from existing music, specifically Crazy la Paint and Haunted.

The assets are for personal use only and we ask that people not use them in their own games.

Hey, um, something weird has happened in my game, I'm in Slender Forest and collecting the pages, but when I get to the one at the cars, it's not there, every other page is in it's proper place but the car one has vanished, it's not invisible, I interacted with the spot to be sure, it's just gone! Help me?

Hey there! The pages aren't always in the same place so you might have to look around to find the last one if it's not at the cars! Hope this helps!

what are the characters sexualities, genders, and pronouns?

All the characters sexualities and genders are listed on their Hero files but here’s the list including pronouns.

Blue - Female - Asexual/Aromantic - She/Her

Purple - Female - Bisexual - She/Her

Jade - Agender - Pansexual - They/Them

Red - Trans Male - Polysexual - He/Him

Peach - Female - Straight - She/Her

Teal - Female - Questioning - She/Her

Do you plan on making a sequel in the future?

Unfortunately we don’t plan on making a sequel. We’ve sort of all moved on to different things, which is totally fine, but just means the team can’t make another game. 

I have heard of a few different people who are working on fan games of Hearts and Heroes in the community so maybe we’ll see what other people think will happen next!

I know that I’m extremely late to this whole thing. But I just now watched Mark’s play through of the game, and wow. I honestly don’t really know what to say. This was an experience I’m going to treasure for the rest of my life. Thank you. All of you. Thank you for reminding me that the world isn’t as dark as it seems.
