♥ - What does ‘love’ mean to them?

Mathilda has quite a bit of difficulty wrapping her head around love as a single concept. Her romantic and sexual relationships tend to be complicated at best and toxic at worst and her relationship with her family usually feels more like business than love. Not to be cheesy or anything, but the word only ever makes her think of her son.

✓ - How do they react to praise?

On the outside, with a calm acceptance and a barely detectable hint of arrogance. Obviously she’s amazing, but she’s been taught to be professional. On the inside though, praise is met with a triumphant “FUCK YES” and reassurance that her dad is wrong and that she’s not a total failure.

☠ - How do they react to death?

It’s hard to say for someone who doesn’t have a lot of experience with death. Given her family’s business, she’s somewhat desensitized to the concept, but has never actually lost anyone really close to her. I imagine her reaction would be something unexpected to her.

M: What is their favourite dessert?

I’m counting this as a desert because it’s literally 100% sugar. Mathilda really loves sour gummy worms. She will eat them all the time. That is her happy place.

A: What are/were this character’s best subjects in school? 

Mathilda was not very good at anything in school. Her highest grades were probably in math because it was something she just understood and didn’t have to put a lot of thought into 

T: Where are they ticklish?

God yes. But if you tickle her, you’ll probably get punched in the face.

H: What is their deadly sin? 

Sloth. Without question.

I: On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do they love themselves? 

Eeeeeeh. She’s about a 4. Most days she’s not her favorite person, but she still tolerates herself pretty well.

L: What is their favourite board game?

I wouldn’t say they’re her favorite, but she ends up playing a lot of little kid board games with Ziggy.

D: How they react to being flirted with?

She flirts back if they’re cute.

G: How do they flirt?

She’s very forward. She doesn’t care about your name or your job or your life. But she’ll fake it. She doesn’t flirt because she wants company, she doesn’t flirt because she wants friends, she doesn’t flirt because she wants a relationship. She flirts because she wants to end up in someone’s bed at the end of the night.

U: What’s their voice like?

Raspy. Low. She can get really loud when she’s angry.

N: What do they usually eat for breakfast? 

Whatever someone else is making. She has a habit of swiping other people’s waffles straight out of the toaster.

E: How are they with children?

She’s great with her kid most of the time. Other times, not so much. But as a general rule she doesn’t like kids. She probably wouldn’t have had any, had she not gotten pregnant. 

R: What are their hands like?

Slender, bony fingers. She has a few nicks and scars on them from taking things apart and putting them back together. 

S: How stealthy are they?

She learned to be pretty sneaky as a child. Growing up with two older brothers and fairly strict parents, she learned to sneak around.

O: What would it take to break them, inside and out?

Phew. It takes a lot to really really break her. She’s already a pretty closed off person so it’s hard enough for anyone to get close enough to break her. Probably anything happening to Ziggy. That would destroy her.
