There are two labels that are releasing this album by The Callas (Athens, Greece).  One is Inner Ear Records (Greece) and the other is Dirty Water Records (London, UK).  I’m posting the Dirty Water Records version because they are re-releasing the LP with a bonus track.

“Trouble And Desire” was originally released about a year ago.  This album is clearly influenced by Sonic Youth.  If listening isn’t enough proof then maybe the fact that Lee Ranaldo plays on 7 tracks (all of the Octopus interludes) will convince you.

Just as a side note, if you’re jonesing for more Callas/Sonic Youth sounds go back and listen to H. Grimace (London) or Teksti-TV 666 (Finland).

I listened to this 7″ a couple of days ago.  I always peruse the “New and Notable” heading on Bandcamp.  That’s where I saw H. Grimace (London, England) and the short Bandcamp blurb:  ““She’s in a State” is an album of tense, coiled rock songs that pair the outré attitude of Sonic Youth with a strong sense of melody.“

Sonic Youth with a sense of melody?  Sure enough, there is sense of Sonic Youth guitar and vocals at the beginning of “She’s in A State”, but the melody and drive of the song have more of a Grass Widow (or any Hannah Lew sideproject) feel.

This is released via H. Grimace’s Bandcamp page, but also some of the copies are available here in the United States via Living Waters Records (New York).

Cool name, but the cover doesn't really fit this music.  I'm waiting for some great Cambodian psychedelia.  This a classic guitar post-punk sound.  I do like the sound of the guitar.
