I have several cosplays I'm working on that requires me to use body paint but I have EXTREMELY SENSITIVE skin and cheap cream makeup at the Halloween stores make my skin red and break out. I was thinking about getting some paradise paints or snazaroo but I have never tried them before so, plus I'm a budget so I kinda don't want to waste my cash.
I have heard good things about paradise paint but I am unsure if they are hypoallergenic. I know Krylon Aquacolors are hypoallergenic, but do not have as good of coverage.
I don’t blame you for having a reaction to cheap cream makeup at Halloween stores. The cheaper a cosmetic product is the less safe it generally is (cosmetics are very poorly regulated). I think that paradise paints would be a good investment, just test it in the inside of your elbow. I’ve never heard of anyone having a reaction to them, and they are water activated.
But because both aquacolors and paradise paint are water activated their is risk of you sweating them off and they can smudge easily, but it may be better for your sensitive skin. Heavy make up in general isn’t good for the skin in general, so avoid wearing it too long (though you’ll probably want to take it off after several hours because of the smudging).
