B:Any of your stories inspired by personal experience?
Little elements here and there but nothing that would count as personal experience. What gets trapped the most in fic are usually ridiculous inside jokes or layouts from buildings/places I know. I still remember the day I got a review for a high school AU saying, ‘wow - this seems so realistic! I’ll know what to expect from high school!’ and I went to internally cringe forever.
G:Care to share a favorite crack fic?
50 Shades of Batman. You’re welcome.
H:How would you describe your style?
A no-frills, dialogue-heavy depiction of microcosms.
P:Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an “architect” or a “gardener”? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?)
I tend to garden in a planter. I plan most things in advance but they’re more general points / key pieces of dialogue with background info to keep my characterization straight. If I have a better idea after the fact, I’m not adverse to changing my plans if it seems more appealing and can be implemented (can’t chase all the shinies, unfortunately).
