To keep his scholarship, Cam has to make sure he gets excellent grades in all his subjects and never fail. He has a bit of a pride in his diligence for schoolwork so even without the scholarship at stake, he’d still make sure he’s at least above average. And he is! In the sciences... maths... but one frustrating part of school is that even if you’re obviously not the most physical person, you’re expected to do the same things all the other athletic kids can do.
He took up Track & Field to make his life easier. Compared to other sports, all he had to work on was his stamina and speed. Ball handling or knowing how to pitch sounded too complicated to bother with and Cam-- with his delicate hands and movement-- had 0 trust in himself when it comes to passing any other sport. At the moment, his speed isn’t too great. He still tires easily for the required laps and his record can make someone yawn.
That needs to be changed.
So here he was now, just outside the Unisex Dorms, eyes glued to his phone. The clock indicated he was 5 minutes early to the meeting time he arranged with a classmate on track & field. It’s not her fault he’s early, but a part of Cam wished she’d hurry up and arrive. An ungrateful wish for someone who needs the help, but she’s the one who insisted they do this, not him. He’s glad for the help, but a part of him is still uncomfortable with this.
“...” His sigh was long and loud. He shut his phone and kept it in his pockets, eyes trailing to the doors of the dorms in hopes of seeing green hair and twin tails coming out of it soon.
