Falmouth University comes to HAA HQ

Falmouth University's second-year illustrators stopped by last week for a chat about illustration, agency life, and a chance to make their own Christmas cards...

Lead creative Victoria Talbot and creatives Anna Dunn and Eve Lloyd Knight shared their experiences of art directing and creating bespoke illustration inhouse - otherwise known as the life of the 'illustration Swiss Army knife'.

The visit rounded off with a recap of last year's SantaStamp! collaboration with Selfridges, after which the students had the opportunity to get in on the festive stampin' action too.

Willoprojects on Tour

Our CD Paul Willoughby is in Copenhagen this week at DMJX, the Danish School of Media and Journalism, working with a team of students focussing on Design for Film. 

Yesterday the students got busy drawing thumbnails as part of an 'intense ideation session' (his words, not ours), that actually looked like quite a lot of fun. Or maybe it's just that fresh Copenhagen air making the guy on the right smile...

With Willoughby on hand to mentor, the teams set to work using our lead creative Victoria's tried-and-tested approach to quick ideation (originally shared at our D&AD New Blood workshop):
