genuinely though, without the NHS I would be dead.

when i was a kid i almost died of salmonella. i was in hospital for more than a month and the ICU for two weeks. it cost my family $0

my sister had meningitis, was in the hospital for a month and almost died. it cost my family $0

my brother started having seizures as a kid and was rushed to hospital multiple times. $0

my other brother was incredibly ill as a child for about the first 7 years of his life and had to go to the hospital regularly. $0 like 5 years ago when i suddenly got that infection and almost died? that cost me nothing. $0

not to mention all the prescription medicines we’ve had and continue to have, glasses, dentistry. all $0

the NHS is a gift that we are so lucky to have here, the thought of losing it is so terrifying to me
