far away from home—a plot centered on a group of runaways/emancipated minors living together in some deadbeat town.
spy kids—children of spies protecting another group of children of influential people. (bonus if one of the spies is actually a double agent)
off broadway— the students from the musical theater department and the drama theater have an ongoing rivalry that “allegedly” reaches back decades.
battle of the bands—two small time bands in the same neighborhood fight each other to win a competition that’ll land the winning band with a contract from a major music label.
midsummer’s night dream— everybody’s in love....with the wrong person. and one very tricky fairy is to blame.
where art thou?— characters from shakespeare’s most famous plays reincarnated.
on our own—a plot centered completely around characters with disabilities.
lost in translation—a group of friends decides to make a journey all the way to london for the summer. except somebody screws up and they land in (insert country) instead! after messing up and making constant mistakes, they befriend another group of friends native to that country who help them navigate until they can book the next plane ticket out of there.
new americana— the misfits in town who all want something different from the status quo journey on a roadtrip to self discovery.
finishing school—children of influential people with not so good reputations end up in a boarding school together, their only chance to rebuild their public image.
sky high—children of superheros navigate their teenage years and try to figure out how in the world to use their powers, if they have any.
the big scoop—budding journalists work on making their way up in their publishing company that houses over ten different magazine and newspaper titles. even if it means playing dirty to get to the top.
