A lot of people tend to think that photography is a wonderful work of art. Or that it is just beautiful in general. Unless you're a hipster.. then photography is just the norm. But that does not count. Because it's "cool" and you can take a picture of it and put some kind of filter on it doesn't mean you're an expert at photography.
(Sorry guys, I don't mean to bash the hipsters. But don't deny that there is some truth to that.)
But, for me, photography goes much deeper than that. Most people tend to take life at face value. Including all the art work, books, and even people for that matter. However, when you look at a photograph, what do you see? Do you see the whole picture? Or do you see the story pixel by pixel? The wonders that come with every tiny detail to make up a symbol of a life in some form or fashion.
To someone like me, photography is not just a hobby. It's a dream. Something that can always be improved upon. Something that always changes, yet, never moves. It implies a moral and a sense of beauty that not even the most beautiful woman/handsome man can accomplish. It's the beauty of the world that ALL people (including myself) take for granted.
I truly encourage people to take more pictures, but look back at them and take them not at face value, but look into what makes that picture so great. Is it the memory, the setting, or even the people within the photo? No matter what, they all come with a story attached.
