Cautiously watching…. the rival Miraidon felt its body tense as it let out a low warning hiss. Why did it return back to Area Zero? This was THEIR territory. Was humiliating it before not enough? THEY were the guardian of paradise, not this sandwich-loving inferior model!

Oh... THIS one. It's been some time, hasn't it? Were they still as awful as Miraidon recalled? They weren't sure- and they honestly were starting to have second thoughts about taking a trip back home.

There was a chirp, and Miraidon shuffled back a few paces, tail curling slightly behind them.

"If you think I'm here to take your territory, you're mistaken. I'm just here to visit." They spoke somewhat slowly, voice filled with a cautionary tone.

It's just another lap around the entirety of the crater when Mirai noticed one of the two Miraidons roaming. She knew exactly which one this was; it was in her programming to identify which one was which.

"Miraidon 2.0!" Mirai smiled before waving at the Miraidon, "I hope things have been well with you today! And that includes getting along with the other Pokemon that live here!"

The Miraidon gave a squint as it stared at the other creature, unsure what to make of it as it looked it over with an uneasy step.

It looked like Miraidon, but wasn’t? Miraidon was purple and sleek with a metallic sheen! This creature had feathers and scales a vibrant red. A low hiss came from Miraidon’s throat.

“ WHO ARE YOU? ”

The hiss only served to agitate the reptile king from ancient times past. His feathery crown flared in a threat display to communicate his raw might. Koraidon would not be threatened; not again. Not by... whatever this was.

His tail slammed the ground, causing it to shake. Fists clenched, Koraidon lifted himself up to his full height, taking on his battling form.

I AM KORAIDON, THE WINGED KING. ARE YOU CHALLENGING ME, VILE IMPOSTER?

And imposter was a fitting term for this creature before him; Koraidon could not make out any specific scales on it like he had, instead it was covered in smooth, shimmering, metallic plates that somehow still allowed sleek movement. It wasn't blazing red like him either, instead colored in a royal violet. No feathers? How was it going to communicate it's strength if it had no display?

BE WARNED, I NO LONGER HAVE ANY PATIENCE OR HESITATIONS WHEN FACED WITH THE LIKES OF YOU.

❦ Milo had no idea WHAT that gargantuan reptilian construct was-

But he knew a hungry lizard when he saw one.

“No no!” The shepherd’s already hurrying over, hastily rushing down the hill to take a spot between his overly curious Wooloo and the unidentified Pokémon. “These aren’t for eating and I kindly remind you to keep your chops off my sheep!” Milo scolds, almost like a mother talking to a naughty pet.

The Wooloos seem happy to sniff and nibble at the tip of Miraidon’s tail though.

Resting on top of one of the crystals near Area Zero was the metallic dragon-type, its gaze scanning its surroundings. Everything was calm in its territory.

Then it felt something. A sensation powerful enough to cause the dragon-type to jump upward. A whirring sound came from and in a flash of light, it shifted to its Ultimate Mode and leaped down from its perch. It gave another scan before it spotted something.

Something with crimson red scales and a plumage upon its head. Something powerful. The robotic dragon-type opened its mouth to let out an agitated roar as electricity crackled around it.

❝ HOSTILE INTRUDER DETECTED IN AREA ZERO. INITIATING BATTLE MODE. ❞

A rival in HIS territory...he'd suspect so. A disgusting smell of oil, metal and exhaust had been plaguing his dwellings for some time now. Did he not make it apparent enough? The deep scratches on the cavern walls made with his incredibly tough hide and claws were markers enough as was the shed scales and feathers.

Fine then. If they didn't heed these warnings he'll just have to take care of them himself with every tooth and claw latched deep into their body.

The metallic serpent didn't scare him. Apex sprinted forward and raised himself high and proud. Chest was puffed out, sails raised and tail shaking the ground beneath them with every pounding strike of irritation.

" It is YOU who is intruding, machina. " He snaps his jaws with a rolling hiss. As if he didn't have enough of this shrapnel littering his den. " And like the rest of your breed I have no problem ripping each part of you with my teeth alone. "

" Leave. "

@hadraconic​ asked: The robotic dragon-type stared warily at the trainer, sniffing the air for any type of threat the brunette-hair girl could offer. It’s tail lashed idly as it waited for any movement, processing all the types of possibilities could happen in that very moment (for Kotone!)

The very first thought that crossed her mind as this unknown Pokémon stared her down was ‘That is the coolest looking thing I’ve ever seen!’ The fact that it was incredibly dangerous not knowing what it was, or how it would react to her, was only vaguely present as background noise to the other thoughts zooming through her head.

If anything, this Pokémon looked just as wary of her as she should’ve been of it. 

She kept the creature in her sights while carefully reaching into her bag. After a moment she produced a Pokéblock case that her  mother had given her. People don’t really make Pokéblocks in Paldea so she’d been holding onto them for a special occasion. Now seemed as good a time as any. 

“Are ya hungry?” She offered a cube snack to the robotic creature on the very edge of her flat palm. “I could make you a sandwich, but that’d take more time!”
