If your character was suddenly challenged, would they rather run away or stay and fight?

He'd stay and fight. He's stubborn like that.

Does your character trust people right off the bat or does it take them some time to warm up to someone?

It takes him a while to actually trust someone. He is fully aware of how painful it can be having your trust in someone broken (because he has both had his trust broken and betrayed other people's trust in him), so he's not going to suddenly warm up to a person.

Do they prefer romance or affection? What is the quickest way to your character’s heart?

Affection. There really isn't any quick way into Garrett's heart because he doesn't have one he doesn't really care. I guess the answer would be to show how little you need him. People that tend to rely on him in some way end up being nuisances to him and those who show they don't need him around tend to be held higher in Garrett's mind.

So basically, he'll like you more if you prove that you don't need him around?

 It takes a while for Tony to process the words that leave the other's mouth -- he knew something was up, that he was hiding something. And this was it. It was him. Almost all of Tony's self control is what keeps him from letting his jaw drop, keeping him from twitching. After all, these were his bots that sustained damage.
