Caaaaaat, I need to know more about this badass gambling lightning wielding grandma wizard Haeba, pleaseeee
Asked the DM how he'd describe her, and he said "A kindly grandmother with a kill switch." Haeba is a Neutral Good Human Wizard! She's little bit higher level than the rest of the party in exchange for taking old age penalties. She has a 6ish str and an 8ish con but is a MASSIVELY powerful magic DPS.
Her actual specialty is Fire! But she has a class ability that allows her to change what energy damage her spells do! The lightning in the fake screenshot piece was a modified Burning Hands spell! She changed it to lighting because that's the element Agon is resistant to!
(This is a LOVELY commission of her by @biteydrawsthings ! Highly recommend!)
She's a very maternal woman whose big personal quest is finding her estranged son to try to make amends with him (they separated on bad terms.) But she has, naturally, adopted the party. She bought us an Auroch to pull our wagon (she named him Hoxley) and has a bag of Werther's candies that act as Goodberry (we keep a bag of Werther's in the DM drawer and she busts them out for key moments.)
We recently went to an underground fighting ring and she got REALLY into the wheeling and dealing and gambling on fights. She bought some nice cigars and just started owning the tournament. So gramma knows how to party.
Even though Agon is Lawful Evil, he was INSTANTLY impressed by her raw damage output. It didn't take long for him to adopt her as a lowkey maternal figure and tends to defer to her judgement on most things.
We love our Party Mom!
(And here's another commissioned piece of her! The artist posted it to Reddit so be sure to check them out!)
