Haemophagus. Death Metal/Grindcore. These guys have a great old School Death sound, and this new record has some awesome songs. Also their previous album "Atrocious" is highly recommended.

Se con il precedente Atrocious i palermitani Haemophagus avevano dimostrato di saper suonare ed aver ben digerito la lezione dei capostipiti del death/grind più impattante e violento, con questo nuovo Stream of Shadows evidenziano come le etichette gli stiano strette. Non si tratta di un cambio di direzione o chi sa che stravolgimento di sound, l’ambito di azione è sempre quello, tuttavia sono presenti spinte verso contaminazioni cui altre band o non arrivano o arrivano dopo anni di dischi fotocopia. I palermitani infatti cercano di sperimentare e rompere gli argini, per quanto possibile. Quindi via ad incursioni progressive e ‘jazz’, senza tralasciare l’ambito noise. Le capacità tecniche dei nostri sono indubbie ed anche in questa nuova fatica sono ben messe in mostra grazie ad un ottima produzione che nel pastone sonoro riesce a rendere intellegibili gli strumenti.
Sicuramente si tratta di un lavoro notevole pur rimanendo in ambito estremo. Un lavoro per palati decisamente forti e già abituati a determinati suoni ma che sono stanchi di sentire ripetere disco dopo disco, band dopo band le solite formule trite e ritrite.

Haemophagus. Death/Grind. These guys know how to have fun. Put Repulsion, Pungent Stench, Morbid Angel, and perhaps a pinch of Slayer into a blender and you might get this.
