that’s what hyejung witnessed on the street, and man was it horrible. it was traumatizing, even more so for the people inside the vehicles. she saw that both of the cars contained only one driver in it, one from the other cars had slipped out. her eyes were darting left to right, heart racing as she didn’t see the other person coming out. seconds passed by, minutes, hours. it had been at least two hours since the accident, people cleared the area because they thought that both cars were empty. it was weird, and it made hyejung move in a way she usually didn’t. it gave her a soft spot, rushing towards the other car that seemed like it was crumbling. “kid! you’re not supposed to go in there!”“well you’re not doing the jobs yourselves!”hyejung bit back at the firemen, almost a snarl when she yelled. they had already done the job of opening the doors with a crowbar, but did they not realize that another human being was trapped inside? they had missed it, because there was so many things covering the body, the girl couldn’t believe it herself. after pushing aside some things, she found the wounded girl stuck. reaching over, hyejung ejects the seatbelt, her arms wrapping under the girl’s knees and under her neck, carrying her out bridal style. the people around her seemed to be surprised.“oh, there was another girl?” yeah, as if two cars in the middle of the street would bump into each other with only one person.“where is she taking her?” to the hospital. because you shitheads left her in there for two hours.“that poor girl.” i could’ve done this earlier.the girl starts walking away from the scene, having to stop by a local convenience store. as she walks in, the cashier’s eyes widen before softening when they see hyejung. “first aid kit, please. i’ll pay you when i get home.” the cashier nods, hyejung was a regular to that store. it was a coincidence that the accident had happened near there. there weren’t many visible wounds as far as she could see, and hopefully there weren’t any broken bones because she wasn’t supposed to move the victim if they did have any. she had the cashier call 112, although they should have done that a while ago.
lying the girl on a bench nearby, she leans in to check for her breathing. she was breathing, but she wasn’t responding. she wasn’t going to unbutton her shirt either, she didn’t want to wake her up. doing the best that she could, hyejung pulled out cotton balls and doused them in rubbing alcohol, cleaning up the wounds on her forehead, the arms, and near the ankles. she then placed antibiotics over the wounds, patching them up with bandaids. the girl stirs under her touch, eyes fluttering open. hye’s startled, stepping back to inspect the girl.
