Almost a week without a single reply not only killed the drummer’s pride but also triggered a strong fear in him. Abandonment. It was a concept he hated thinking about in every way possible. Several people have packed their things and left without a word, leaving him confused and bewildered. Yet, he was a hypocrite, as he had done the same to others in the past. Only recently had he realized what a shameful thing it was.
Of course, he hadn’t known Jinhee for very long, but they had clicked instantly when he found out she worked in the exact same flower shop his best friend used to own. He wasn’t sure how to deal being without her, and then came Jinhee to brighten his day. There wasn’t a day he didn’t stop by the shop to see if she was there. He hadn’t asked about her work schedule, and considering he was busy at times-- he barely caught her at the right time. As he was sent straight to voicemail again, he sighed and tried to text her.
[ SMS ] I know you’re not busy, so why’re you ignoring me?

Hello Sehun, this is one of these random reminders that I absolutely adore you~
➤ @hwangsia
Hello Sophia, thank you for the reminder. I suppose I should remind you that I appreciate your existence and think you’re a national treasure.
The idol life was harder than she thought. Fan signs, practice, photo shoots, performances, the list of things she had to attend went on but regardless of her busy schedules Sophie didn’t regret her choice. The fact that she knew many of the idols from her old occupation helped a lot to make the social butterfly feel at ease backstage, joking along with her friends and smiling brightly the whole time. Nevertheless it caught the female off guard that Sehun wasn’t smiling back at her as she approached him, his next words making her expression drop and change into a confused one before a pout- something she was known for- followed. He was thinking that she had been flirting? “ What are you talking about? I was being told a joke and we just exchanged some words afterwards, there was no flirting included. That’s literally all, don’t be like this Sehun. ”
There was no doubt in his mind that Sophie could be friends with anybody. It wasn’t because he couldn’t, but the fact of the matter was, he simply didn’t want to. He enjoyed having a select few around him rather than a crowd, as he was always forced into a crowd since birth. There were no signs of eye contact between the two once they met, yet the sight wasn’t odd at all. His face was kept neutral as he stared at the group of idols she had just left. Many of them acknowledged him and bowed in his direction, only earning a firm nod from him. “I’m only kidding, can’t you tell?” he asked, a tiny bit of sarcasm in his voice as he very knew well that his face was rid of any emotion. Eventually he told himself to stop the jealousy and offered a quick smile. “Seriously, I’m not being like anything. You know I’m always playing around..How did you think you did on stage?” he asked, in attempt to change the subject.
The things he had to deal with; sad to say that the other’s antics were purely inevitable. It made him wonder why he couldn’t understand something as simple as the word ‘no’, asking himself how it was possible for a guy like him to tolerate a person that is Oh Sehun. He was having a lot of regrets. “See– this is why I don’t want you to come here.” he sighed, pointing out the endless eyes that were drawn to them ( mostly to Sehun’s ) as soon as they made an entrance. Heck, he could even hear someone whistling from a distance. It made him feel uncomfortable for some odd reason. “That depends. Are you paying for lunch?”
“Your complaints are really starting to bum me out man. We’re not being mobbed, so what’s the big deal?” he asked, “They’re stares, not bullets. You’ll survive.” His sass was starting to see through as he could only play nice for so long. If the man didn’t want him to be around, he could just say so and he’d leave him alone. The blonde had no clue what the other thought of him, aside from the incoherent grumbles he’d hear behind his back. The man flattened the collar of his jacket and gestured his head towards the Starbucks, “Of course I’m paying, you need a frappe to sweeten out the bitter old man in you.” he jested, laughing at his own words as he went directly behind a student in line.
I love you. I worry about you. I wonder whether I tell you enough how I love you and want you and need you and how I am diminished … when you are not with me and how I am multiplied when you are here.

She held her knees against her chest and her head was buried within them, trying to stop her tears from falling and trying - but ultimately failing at trying to remain cool and collected like how she usually is. Siyeon never really liked crying in publlic, but at this point - she couldn’t take it anymore. She was a sobbing mess on the floor backstage where she had been watching her company sunbae’s perform. “O-Oh” Siyeon tried to stop blubbering like an idiot to answer the male’s question, she wiped away her tears, crossing her legs and trying to compose herself. “I-I just, I’m just, wondering” she sniffed, wiping away the remaining tears. “W-Will I, ever be good enough to d-debut yet.”
Having a closer look at the woman, he realized how young she appeared and immediately felt guilt, as he had a soft spot for children and adolescents. "Oh..you haven’t debuted yet..” he repeated softly, looking around for any sign of tissues before quickly offering the hem of his black shirt. “Here, it’ll be bad if anyone else saw you like this, especially any of your higher ups.” Younger people were often more honest than adults, which was why it wasn’t a surprise when she told him the reason without any speculation of who he was. “Hey, why do you think you’re here in the first place? If you weren’t good enough, you wouldn’t be this close to your sunbaes. We were all in your position at one point, if you have confidence..” he paused, bending down to her level with a smile, “You’ll definitely get there. You’re still young right? It’s not impossible.”

"No I’m not a dad, do I look like one?” he laughed, shaking his head immediately at the accusation. The baby in his arms was fast asleep as he gently rocked him. "This is Hoon Soo, he’s my friend’s son but he was busy today so..” he trailed off, directing his eyes towards the little kids playing around. “I wish I was a dad, I love children, and obviously you do too-- so do you know how to take this baby out of my hands without waking him up? He’ll get cranky if he doesn’t nap.”

“You know, work would go a lot easier if you would just stop giving me dirty looks when the cameras are away.” he commented, returning her looks with an annoyed glance. He was used to stares, but none as angry as hers, especially when he didn’t know the reason for it. “Did I accidently run over your cat or something?” he asked sarcastically, suddenly forcing his attention to the flash of camera towards them. “That’s perfect, look annoyed with each other!” “I am annoyed with her.” he wanted to say, yet he continued to comply with their wishes.

The man could only keep a straight face for so long before the distressed look on the older woman’s face started to amuse his sadistic side. Nonetheless, he didn’t want any of his father’s employees having a mental breakdown, especially before a big event. The taller leaned against her chair for his own comfort as his gaze was led to the computer screen. He observed the increasing numbers of emails coming in before offering a merciful smile.
“I offered you this job because you wanted it and you said were capable of it. I wouldn’t have told my father to hire you if I didn’t think you could handle it.” He gave her head a gentle pat before nonchalantly leaving the room without another word. When he came back, he set a bottle water on her lap and ordered her to stand up so he could replace her spot in the chair. “This isn’t my job but fortunately, I’ve been in your position. First thing you need to do, is organize your inbox and prioritize the guests who have emailed you first. For that, you need to go all the way to the back. There’s a quick trick for that.” he advised, demonstrating the steps he recommended with quite a leisure tone in his voice.

“If I wanted to be a librarian, I would have become one long ago, smartass.” She laughed along with him and sighed as he decided to use her as a human pillow. Lightly moving his hair out of his face, she smiled over at him and she couldn’t contain her childlike glance. “Nah, around you I feel like a little kid.”
The girl’s eyes crinkled into crescents as she laughed, her smile was so bright and genuine that she had almost forgotten what she felt like when she really smiled. “That’s bullshit. That ramen thing you made looked disgusting.” She argued back, shaking her head. “You started it.”
“It’s never too late to be a librarian, though I’m not sure if you can stay quiet for very long.” his grin complimented her laugh as he scrunched his face slightly at placement of his bangs. “A little kid? Weird, a lot of people tell me that. Is it because I’m young?”
Her laugh continued, causing the man to sit up again and look at her. Even as his cooking skills were being questioned, he was quite fond of making others laugh or smile. “Well that was for comical purposes. I know how to cook, and I’m gonna cook for you one day to prove it.” he promised, “Well now I’m ending it, no more pinching.”
