How Two Upstate Poets Turned Their Garage Into a Seussian Writing Studio
Inside the award-winning Haffenden House, a three-story structure that looks like a hand-drawn rectangle dropped in the middle of a suburban neighborhood of clapboard Dutch Colonials. http://dlvr.it/BqxtjZ
Het bizarre Haffenden House, eigenlijk niet meer dan een boekenkast en een fijn bad boven de garage. Een aanbouw van een bestaande woning naar ontwerp van PARA-Project.

ARCHITECTURE :: 1972 Ice House inspires Haffenden House
Referencing Gianni Pettena’s 1972 Ice House installation, the soon to be completed Haffenden House designed by architect Jon Lott from Para will feature a translucent silicon-impregnated fabric skin that floods the floor-to-ceiling book lined reading room with natural light.
The modernist residence, designed for a poet couple to house their extensive library, occupies a narrow footprint located between existing timber houses typical to the suburbs of Syracuse in New York.
