Just before lockdown in March a crew came to the outside gallery i manage and hit up the beautiful piece by friend @therealpakal Ok this shit happens some times but the language used is particularly offensive. FAGS is a nasty word to use but the placement of this tagging was even more sinister as it was directly opposite one of Shoreditch’s surviving queer pubs, the brilliant @thegloryldn . I leave it to you to decide wether the placement of this tagging was deliberate or not !!! Luckily I was able to call on the amazing @charlieliketheriver to rescue the situation. He brilliantly painted a new piece (swipe left) whilst still leaving key elements of Pakal’s wall showing through.
