PAST MASTERS: BYZANTINE AND GOTH SCULPTURE.
Characteristics:
Byzantine
Used sculpture, frescoes and implemented mosaics.
Mosaics and painting were colorful
They had the only purpouse of praising the church and religion.

Goth:
In gothic churches:
Statues crafted on the stone columns and walls substituted frescoes and mosaics as artistic resources for religion and teaching.
Churches had cross form in their main hallway with other two hallways aside.
They implemented chapels.
Cathedrals and churches were supported by arches and flying buttresses.
The cathedrals had a floral window in the front. (Ex, Notre Dame de Paris and Expiatorio de Guadalajara).
