For our August event we went to the Habitat for Humanity Santa Clarita construction site and helped prepare the site for a snow event for the veterans and their families.

We organized materials that were spread around the site into manageable groupings, swept up saw dust and picked up nails left behind. We also picked up and disposed of any trash that was left behind.

Last but not least! we relocated a lizard to a safer environment!

This event was a great success! Thank you to all the HAHD captains who participated.

The April HAHD LA event went well! 4 volunteers helped price and display a ton of skirts and dresses. We also helped organize the glass case and display beautiful glass vases.

Most of the proceeds from the ReStore goes to help with the construction side of Habitat for Humanity. These homes help many families in need.

For our March event 4 volunteers helped get a start on organizing the tile section of the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Many donations are given to the ReStore and they depend on volunteers to help organize and keep items moving so that they can be sold.

For February the LA HAHD team helped organize and display lighting and lamps for Habitat for Humanity -- ReStore.

A majority of the proceeds that the ReStore collects go to the building of homes for families in need.

For our November event we helped Habitat for Humanity sort and price new and seasonal donations, prep material for future events, and clean up and organize the main donation room of the ReStore center.

For Octobers LA HAHD event we helped Habitat for Humanity ReStore organize tile, lamps and blinds.

ReStore depends on volunteers to help keep their donations organized and easily accessible to customers so they can continue to offer their many fantastic programs.

 For July’s event we went to help PetSave feed and clean the enclosures and cages of over 100 rabbits that the organization has rescued.

They care for domestic rabbits and place them with good families.

In June we had the absolute pleasure of volunteering with the Lange Foundation’s animal rescue, care, and placement center.

“Lange foundation is a nonprofit organization in Southern California dedicated to saving impounded companion animals and preparing them for their journey to a new, safe, and loving world.”

This facility houses rescued cats and dogs of all ages and states of being. They are cared for and nursed back to health if needed. The dogs and puppies are walked and the kitties are socialized.

We had a blast and per the Lange Foundation: “The dogs and cats really appreciated the extra attention and walks they received.”

This was a super fun event and we hope to help out again soon.
