i think its rlly interesting that schlatt and dream are the same age. literally different sides of the same coin.

It's WILD to think about and I kinda think you're right. Not that Dream is good and Schlatt is evil or vise versa or anything like that - they're just two people who have a relatively similar base-level position and went in completely opposite directions with it. I've seen some people say that Dream has a sort of reverse parasocial relationship, like he feels it for his fans in the way that his fans do, but I swear Schlatt has whatever the direct opposite of a parasocial relationship is; he's incredibly invested in not being invested and it ends up running in a weird sort of loop. Idk it's super interesting (?) from a distance.

The dteam being so hesitant to stream if it not something huge and groundbreaking is so counterintuitive cause the less they stream the less interested people will be. +It seems like the viewcounts are just naturally dropping off for all the dsmp streamers rn probably because in person school is happening this year so people can't drop everything to watch the streams. I'm not mad at them cause if I was super rich I probably wouldn't want to do any work either but also....

LITERALLY 😭 ive talked abt it before but the whole thing that the feral boys do of only streaming ones every ten years but that stream is super hyped up and high effort is not a sustainable formula for a ton of reasons ive gotten into in the past (heres a ss of part of that post). viewer counts are significantly less bc of school and tbh probably partially bc they dont stream consistently enough to keep gaining new fans as older ones leave or have less time bc there is nothing for new fans to watch live, all they have are vods. like i am willing to bet there are tons of dream fans who have NEVER experienced a dream live outside of mcc. like genuinely. original point of not gaining new viewers stand regardless tho, or at least not consistent new viewers since interest has to build via constant/regular content. im not mad at them either tbh im just annoyed which definitely stems from parasocialism but i feel like its a lil fair to be a bit annoyed LOL. maybe im just crazy
