he spots rosalie near the edge of the festivities, seemingly separate from it all. he glances over at edward, bella curled into his side as they talk to one of the denalis. satisfied that he doesn’t think he’ll be needed any time soon, he goes over to sit with rose, his eyes looking out at the wedding.

human Edward: lil eddie looking for his parents in the crowd, hoping to see both of them there but only sees his mother— there’s an empty seat next to her. her eyes are beaming bc she’s proud of her son. after the recital, she cooks his favorite meal to makeup for his absent father

i did almost add the missing dad aspect when he was human, but decided to keep it cute, i’m glad we’re still on the same wavelength

                                  "I’m sorry 'bout what happened to you, Rose." Johanna's sweet voice, full of sympathy, couldn't have been more soft as she spoke. She had been uncertain at first, unsure whether it was wise to speak about such an horrible incident (most of all when Johanna discovered it through the use of her power - without anyone breathing a word of it to her), but the words soon fell out before she could help herself. "You didn't deserve it."
