Soulmate!AU where the first words you hear your soulmate says to you is inked onto your wrist

He never believed in this soulmate shit. Why would he ever want to share his life with just one person when he can fuck every girl he desires all the time? He planned to have sex with his soulmate if they would be hot enough for him. But they’re my soulmate after all, so they have to be hot, he thought. But he has to admit the first words his soulmate will say to him aren’t very pleasant.

“I would rather go to the dentist for an endodontic treatment without any narcosis before I would spend my time with someone like you.”

His soulmate seems to be a feisty one and he likes feisty girls/boys. Not that he really cares for them or such. But he wants to have his way with them for once before he never calls them again.

Haizaki walks home from school after his basketball practice. He wasn’t there for weeks but he wanted to show a hot chick from his school how talented he is in basketball. It takes a few seconds before they realize what just happened. They look at their wrist just to see the exact words this wannabe playboy with the weird hairstyle said a few moments ago.

“Impossible… You- you’re my soulmate,” they whisper shocked, barely loud enough for Haizaki to hear. “I’m happy to have such a hot soulmate. Now, are you finally coming? My house isn’t far away.”

“Are you totally stupid? I don’t go home to some creepy stranger who wants to do whatever with me.” “Feisty, huh? Just like I thought. You’re lucky I will give you a chance to make it up to me. I’m sure your mouth is talented in more than just to talk big,” he says seductively while his smirk grows even more.

“Great. My soulmate is some perverted playboy…” they say with a clearly disappointed voice. Their eyes are on the floor but Haizaki can still see how sad and discouraged they are. He knits his eyebrows. What’s with their stupid face? They should be overjoyed to have an attractive soulmate like him. Normally, his girls/boys answer his questions with a quite more pleasurable way.

But why should he care anyway? Just because they’re pretty? Just because he has never seen such beautiful eyes before and his heart has beaten a bit faster after they talked to him for the first time? Just because they don’t are so easy to get like his other toys and that’s extremely interesting for him? Definitely not. That’s nothing but pathetic.

His newly found soulmate turns to leave. Wait, do they really despise them this much already? I wasn’t even a dick to her/him yet. “Oii, where do you think you’re going?” “Home.” “Home?” “Yeah, home. What’s so hard to understand?” “Goddamn, stop being such a bitch.”

With that, his soulmate gets furious. “Are you fucking serious?” “Of course I’m serious. What’s your problem anyway?” he asks, anger already written in his face. “My problem is that my soulmate is obviously some guy who flirts with every stranger who passes his way. Some guy who doesn’t care how he treats this said person and doesn’t even want to treat them right. I already had enough from someone like you,” her voice cracks a bit with the last part. Their tears are about to fall every second. “Because of that I don’t want to get hurt from a player who just uses his girls/boys ever again. So Goodbye, soulmate.”

With that some little tears stream down their face before they turn around to leave this scene once more. Probably for the first time in his life, Haizaki didn’t know what to do or say. His soulmate just turned him down before he even had the chance to get to know their name. He never thought this would happen. But especially, he didn’t thought it would hurt him at all. But here he stands, feeling humiliated because the most gorgeous woman/man he has ever seen doesn’t even want to talk to him.

“Oii, wait,” he says a bit softer this time. “I didn’t mean to make you cry, goddammit.” He runs to them until he stands before them. “I- err, I really didn’t mean it, alright? So stop looking so sad already, idiot. I didn’t even get your name.” After they stare at him for a few moments with suspicion his soulmate answers unsurely: “(L/n) (y/n) and you are?” “Haizaki Shougo. So just let forget what happened before and let’s go grab something to eat, what do you say?” Haizaki had no idea why he’s so nice all of the sudden. He’s never nice to anyone. But he just can’t let his soulmate leave like this. He can’t explain it but he knows he can’t let this happen.

“Fine. But you pay, you dick.” Now both of them smirk at each other before they walk to a nearby coffee. While they’re walking, he casually puts his arm around them. Maybe having a soulmate is way better than he thought.

Haizaki is on his way home after a night full of alcohol, party and women. Your face lighten up a bit and you whisper a small ‘thank you’ with a lovely smile. With this smile on your face, the effort is worth it for Haizaki. Still in his arms, you show him the way to your place.

On the way home you two talk about anything and everything, you’re quite surprised what a good conversational partner he truly is. You have almost forgotten about your stalker while chatting with him. About ten minutes later you arrive at your house. He escorts you to your front door and you thank him. “I’m really, really thankful, Haizaki-kun. You saved me.”

Haizaki smiles proudly. “If you really want to thank me, you will go out with me tomorrow.”
