it's happening {aoyagi + teshima}
Sure, they may always be seen side-by-side, but that didn’t mean Aoyagi didn’t get flustered when it came to the more— Intimate of moments they shared. That’s why now, finding himself with Teshima’s lips pressed so delicately to his thighs, he couldn’t help the blush that came to his cheeks, and he certainly couldn’t help the way the colour seemed only to deepen as time passed.
Nothing’s been pulled, everything’s working the way it should. See? It’s fine, Teshima, really.
The blond hesitated for a moment, but then moved forward to slide his arms smoothly, carefully around the slope of his friend’s shoulders, while pressing his forehead until it met gently with another.
He’d never been good with words, and they both knew it; but if there was anything thing he could do, even the smallest of gestures, to dispel some of those feelings Teshima felt, he’d do anything.
…You worry too much.
Teshima breathed slowly as Aoyagi drew near. He kneaded his fingers into the other boy's skin, half reflexive, half intentional, his heart racing at their close proximity. Even when they were on their bikes, glued together, Teshima was comfortable, yes, but never truly calm. When their tires touched, something would stir in Teshima, flow through his veins. He felt that same wave of emotion as Aoyagi broke through personal space and entered them into their own world.
This is it. This is what life’s about. Forget the individual fame he sought out before high school, chasing Imaizumi’s coattails. No amount of broken personal records could compare to the feeling of genuinely connecting with someone, syncing up with their mind, body, heart, and soul.
Teshima could feel the heat radiating onto his cheeks from Aoyagi’s, and he grounded himself on the sensation of their foreheads resting on each other’s, skin against skin. He smiled at the way their hair fell together, the tickle of Aoyagi’s brown locks most likely mirrored with his own black waves.
“I can’t help it. I’m a thinker.”
