"The Human."
➸ Confusion, and more confusion. The boy's steps brushed against the overly grown grass and wild plants that surrounded his path, endlessly leading him to a destination that he regarded as some sort of an exit or a pathway back home. While subconsciously accepting his current situation, Baekhyun was able to make his way into a path full of thickets and towards a tunnel, still baffled at his own sense of direction and wondering how a person could be so lost amidst such an urban city. Slipping his phone out of his back pocket, he clicked the side button with his thumb in his hope to find some kind of signal, but the bar on the top left corner of his screen caused him to heave a deep sigh instead; dissolving the last ounce of optimism he managed to find in his only belonging.
A sudden wave of uncertainty and fear both swept over the boy's mind, the sunset that soon darkened his sight left him in a further dismay, trudging his last steps over to the channel regardless. Upon reaching the entrance, his ears and eyes caught the sound of an unpleasing thud that quickly transitioned into a fall, his hands quickly reaching the ground upon his reflex to break the plunge but leaving a small scrape of wound on both of his palms. Wow, just when I thought this day couldn't get any better. A faint sigh parted his lips, soon letting out a groan among lifting himself back up on his feet. A faint ray of light upon the opposite end, however, caught the rather hopeless one's eyes, soon fueling his motivation and getting his feet to fasten the pace towards the other end.
There indeed was light that brightened his sight; but something about the transition of his surroundings seemed a bit unearthly, so to say. The mist that encircled his vision narrowed the boy's gaze, his steps coming to a halt upon the sound of the footsteps that were not his own. The thumping wound on his palms resonated with the sound of his own heartbeat, his brows furrowing upon the stranger's approach before taking the courage to indicate his presence. "...Hello—?"
