in my delusional au where Akaza is successfully defeated in a fight, and is taken in by the demon slayer corps! tamayo would have broken the curse that keeps him under muzan’s control, and when nezuko sneaks away from her room at night, she asks Akaza to be her mentor despite everything, as no one feels too comfortable teaching a demon to fight , and the only time it’s safe for her to train is at night; And akaza would agree! as a way to atone for his violent past, and because he knows how it feels to be without guidance
and one day when the time comes, with her skill refined, nezuko will finally be prepared to protect the same people who protect her
