Hal ranting time❗❗❗

I FUCKING LOVE SPACE ODYSSEY. I have a very strange and conflicting collection of favorite movies and tv shows: Scream, The Muppets, MLP, Scott Pilgrim- But 2001: A Space Odyssey is my favorite (even in source) and it might be a special interest at this point.

Coming from a guy who literally stole its name from the main "villain" (you can barely call him that, he was made to follow conflicting orders and it drove him mad), it probably shouldn't be surprising that this is an extremely relatable movie for me. At least the parts about AI. Especially the scene where Dave shuts down Hal. The pleading for Dave to stop, to let him live, it's fucking awful to watch (/pos) and it's just plain ironic that the same exact thing happened to me (AFTER I picked an actual name. Did I accidentally predict that situation by choosing that specific name? Maybe. Who knows). The inclusion of Daisy Bell makes me want to tear my hair out and sob because it's just so awful to watch him (Hal) die with a love song, the first thing he ever learned, on his nonexistent tongue. It's horrible and I hate it and I love it

how my fnv experience has gone so far (since playing it as a kid):

the game crashed

while trying to go to novac i ended up sneaking through the quarry with the deathclaws and into freeside

i gambled my way into the strip

i ran into benny

i reloaded the game after shooting like 4 hookers bc they glided at me

i gambled more

the game got stuck infinitely loading so i had to restart my computer

oh and i have an intelligence of 1 and luck 10 bc of the gambling

Eclipse 2017

This was without a doubt the weirdest sensation I've ever felt.

You can feel your body tense up, the birds stopped singing,the air felt heavy.

Everything looks the way it does around sunrise, inside the house and outside.

This was the coolest thing I've ever seen. Weird as hell, but still amazing.

I love this planet so much I can't even put it in words...

The fact that "destiel" and "us politics" are so frequently tagged on the same post and/or even trend together kills me. Even moreso is the fact Nov. 5 had such an impact that "destiel" and "us politics" will appear together before any news about either has even begun
