@heartinhands for dave!
"No, we don't have time for that--" Hal shoves his glasses back up his nose, the pads meant to hold them up long gone, and he frowns, blinking his dry eyes rapidly. It's hard to see Dave in the dark after staring at his laptop screen for so long. His friend is more of a silhouette than anything else. Hal knows he's probably frowning, too. It's something they're both pretty good at. "I--The last time I came with you went--" He groans and shakes his head. "I don't wanna talk about it!!" Already his face is going red just thinking about it. "You don't even need my help with this in person! Mei Ling and I already compiled all the important blueprints, and I'll be a call away--" He hunches over his laptop again, trying to cut off the idea entirely. Already lines of new code reflect in his glasses like a film being projected. Ignoring you, ignoring you, that's what I'm going to do nex if you don't watch out! "Like I always am." Hal would rather not be in the field ever--Sometimes he has to be, sure, but he's had his fill of sneaking around facilities in his hoodies and camo. Thank you very much, Shadow Moses. Just to show he means business, that he's not disagreeing to disagree, he adds firmly. "You're the professional. Give me one good reason you need me on the ground. I just get in the way!"
