I’ll do Halandi because he’s Hadari’s brother.

If you were to choose another name for your oc, what do you think it would be? Did you choose it for how it sounds or for its meaning?

Well, Halandi is actually the “another name” for him, since I revamped some names after I had fleshed out the Trader language a bit more. He was originally Hellend, but the make up sounded more Northern than Trader, so I moved some sounds around to mess with the stress and made it into a Trader name.

What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to your oc? Do they still feel ashamed for it? Were there any witnesses?

Probably being the youngest in the group and thus not being old enough to get permission to go run off on his own. “Ok, but make sure you stick with your sister, you’re not old enough to run off on your own.” And of course all his friend and his sister would be there.  And it’s more one of those it seems super embarrassing when you’re like 12 but it’s not really the end of the world.

How well can your oc keep secrets? Is there a difference between how they handle their own vs someone else’s? To what lengths would they go to keep something hidden?

He is a little brother and the youngest of the group, so he does get into some snooping around and blabbing territory, but Tali’s younger brother and sister were even younger and kind of filled that role. So generally it’s the, there are some secrets of my sister’s that I’ll never tell another soul and then some “promise you won’t tell anyone. “promise... HEY SEHAT”

But he’s loyal to his sister and his friends and would keep it if it mattered.

And now the (newly renamed) Hadari (Hada Ri) and Halandi (Halan Di) who are Sea Trader Sibs. Their mother died though and their dad remarried so they moved to the caravans and that’s where they met Tali and her group in the backstory. Neither of them have appeared in BtS or SC, although they were both mentioned as missing. (And like Sarat I’m remembering how much fun they were to write in Tali’s childhood so... I may have SC bring them back since I can think of ways for them to...)
