I have SO much love in my heart for Haled. He’s compassionate! loves Chet Baker! has this air of self-assurance and ease about him that hides a lot of stuff that goes on underneath! is very romantic but also has a dry sense of humour and this desire for connection, just like all the other characters! gives Papi kind but firm advice just because he sees that Papi needs that nudge! has a gentle heart! a sensitive soul! loves music!!

#i am also not (very) embarrassed to admit that ari'el stachel is beautiful in the I-can't-look-him-in-the-eyes sort of way #and has a LOVELY singing voice #to be fair i love most of the characters in the band's visit #but haled has a special place in my heart #and that's partially because 'haled's song about love' was the song that really got me hooked #(along with 'omar sharif' of course. the music is SO good)#the band's visit #haled

haled’s song about love makes me lose my mind. here’s this young man, and he flirts with everyone and he’s open-hearted and understanding. he thinks he knows what love is; he has a very clear idea of what it is to be in love and how to go after it. but the thing is, he doesn’t get that love!! he’s singing from the outside of it all. and he’s always on the outside... outside of dina and tewfiq... outside of papi and julia... there’s a moment earlier in the show where the band is sitting at the cafe and he’s just waiting in the shadows, alone, before papi shows up. he’s on the outside there too... i can’t think about it any more or i’ll start crying

Le contexte : quand elle a rien à faire entre deux missions pour la mafia, Haled se rend dans des lieux abandonnés pour y taguer ses sentiments vis-à-vis de sa boss (aka un bon gros crush exponentiel 👌 ), et couiner niaisement.

Un jour, un autre membre de l'organisation l'a surprise et elle l'a recouvert de peinture en bombe avant de s'enfuir en criant des trucs incohérents :B

J'ai tellement hâte de dessiner la suite d'Haled et sa boss, en tout cas, le début a déjà bien pris forme dans ma tête >U<
