And the cribs... magically disappear when you look at them through the skylight. The babies stay, though!

We return to Al Medina to the sight of MORE TOWNIES BOOKING IT ACROSS THE DESERT BECAUSE THEY ALL REFUSE TO USE THE FUCKING SUBWAY SYSTEM

Haley and Ali have a small wedding at home and none of the guests give a fuck until they start making out in front of them.

Yes, because that’s appropriate when there’s music already playing.

Pregnancy time! Already! I really rush into these things in the new saves.

I wonder if there’s a way to adjust the settings to make light spill more naturally in cases like this! It happens in multi-story buildings, too; the light’s glow STOPS ABRUPTLY at the boundary of the floor it’s on.

This is Al Medina, my first foray into custom worlds! Despite the pathing being, uh,,,, interesting, it’s a gorgeous place.

Haley Casey lives here as an expat. She’s the youngest daughter of Nico Casey and Shasha Parks, younger sister to both Liam and Julie.

SO, THAT PATHING ISSUE.

All of the settled areas are surrounded by huge swathes of desert, with no roads - that means no cars. There are subway stations that work perfectly well and connect every little town, but for some reason, every single NPC refuses to use them. This means...

Yup. Everybody walks to work through the scorching desert.

Literally all of them end up fired because it takes them 6+ hours to get there. Starvation or collapsing from exhaustion feel inevitable.

I FEEL YOU, BUDDY.

But god, it’s a great world, even though I’m not sure how tenable it’s going to be long-term once I move to rotational play.

Saleema Benjelloun and her brother Ali show up to welcome the new arrival to the neighborhood.
