Hi!!! If you don’t have time for this I totally understand. I’m an east coaster and my boyfriend and I are travelling to Seattle and Vancouver soon for the first time. We only have like 2 ish days in each place, so it’s been hard deciding what to prioritize. Do you have any thoughts on which of these things that I thought looked cool are MUSTS or if I’m missing something important?
I heard the Vancouver aquarium is better than Seattle’s (I love aquariums), so I’m leaning towards just that one. Also I haven’t even begun to consider food so if there are any can’t miss places for food or coffee, I’d love to know.
We’re taking the Amtrak train from Seattle to Vancouver and I’m really excited for that!!
Seattle:
Art Museum
Pike Place (obviously)
Miner's Landing Pier 57 + Great Wheel
Chihuly Garden and Glass + Space Needle
Museum of History and Industry
Aquarium
Vancouver:
Seawall Water Walk + Olympic Cauldron
Bloedel Conservatory + Queen Elizabeth Quarry Gardens
Aquarium
Museum of Anthropology
Beaty Biodiversity Museum
Lynn Canyon
Personally I would prioritize pike place and the pier + great wheel. those two can be done in one trip because the pier and miner’s landing is almost directly behind the market. the aquarium is down there too but that might be a bit ambitious for one day trip. the space needle is really expensive and not rly worth the cost tbh. emmet watson’s oyster bar is my fave place to eat down in the market, and if there’s any pierogi stands u have to stop and get one!! if you have the time, capitol hill is a really fun place to wander and pop in and out of shops as well. discovery park is probably out of the way but it’s another rly cool spot
as far as vancouver, ive never been! but if anyone who follows me lives there or has been, they can chime in!
