“did you come to discuss MORE southern politics JON SNOW? or have you finally come to me with something more interesting?”
@halfawolf
❝ I do believe in you. ❞
brown eyes lift from fingers, head turns over shoulder to catch sight of husband’s face. husband yet still stranger, too, a man she hardly knows yet knows more than she has known any man at all. tears in soft eyes shine unshed, tracks of others trace fair cheeks.
“i would not blame you, if you did not.”
one hand lifts, back of wrist to brush away tears’ remnants, a shaky smile lifts to cheeks. not made to be queen - - not meant to be. nor he for kinghood meant, yet king he stands, and by his side should be a queen who might support him, offer counsel, she cannot.
“you were right - - i would shrink before your men, and they would think me weak.”
(they do not argue - - some days it seems they hardly speak, yet words of minutes previous had hurt enough for tears.)
from edge of bed she stands, fingers fidgeting - - she walks to stand before him, avoids his eyes yet takes his hand in hers, her own small palms, her slender fingers,in such dainty contrast.
that hand she lifts up in hers, soft, shy kiss pressed to his fingertips before she holds hand to her cheek, tips her head into the touch, looks up at him at last with hope in warm brown eyes.
“but i am your...your queen, and i wish to stand beside you. if your faith in me is true, i will find the strength i need.”

@halfawolf (SOA verse)
"Jon..."
Margaery hadn't expected to see him at her father's funeral. Especially with how they left things. She had left for school. He... He had stayed for the MC and his place as it's prince.
She shuffled her feet as she took a step backward from the leather clad men that passed by the two of them to pay their respects to her family.
"I didn't know my mom invited you..."
God, it was hard to look at him without feeling the butterflies start to roll in her stomach. Margaery hated that he had that effect on her.
