do you have a source for that bc I'm curious to know more! I was under the impression that it was network execs and like producers because of the anecdotes I've heard, like Kate Mulgrew repeatedly asking for an openly queer main character on Voyager and being told that it would happen someday, but it wasn't the right time, and Alexander Siddig and Andrew Robinson being told by producers to tone down the flirting in their scenes together, and things like that. But if the cause for those things was legal pressure then that's a whole other thing.

Alyssa's pretty meek but she'd definitely try and save someone if she thought she could ... using magic or not. Taran also tries to save people ... Cassandra would be happy to help but I doubt she'd actively jump into the fire herself ... she'd be more practical like thinking of how to put the fire out. Lucas stone cold doesn't give a fuck ... if it was a computer though ...
