Training report from yesterday: If was an “easy” run day — 40 minutes — that still felt challenging. I discovered over the weekend that the toes of my shoes were too narrow and that I not only run but walk striking with the ball of my foot first because my toes are almost permanently tense and curled upward, even when I think I’m relaxed. So I got new shoes (yeah!) and am now hyper aware of EVERYTHING footfall related. Also invested in a tiny massage ball to roll around under my desk and managed to overstimulate my arches. Must remember to take baby steps in all things. #halfmarathonvirgin #slowbutsteady🐢
