e-mail scams
This isn't anything gaming related. This is just a notice to those unaware, and might be caught out. there is currently bank related e-mail scams going around. I got one today claiming they were from 'halifax' and that there had been suspiscious activity on my account, so it was now shut and needed to reactivated by me personally.
Of course this hit alarm bells due to the fact that I am not with Halifax. I believe halifax are aware of this scam, and if you receive such e-mails then forward them onto the banks contacts. they might not necessarily be for Halifax, but any bank.
always remember to check to domain name of any website you goto. This one was so very obviously not a halifax website. as it didn't have halifax in the web address. If you are unsure whether or not an email is legit from a bank or a service you use, then make sure to google the correct site to check they are the same.
I just wanted to spread the news, scams like this exist for a reason, because there is a percentage of people who do fall for them unfortunetly.
