How To Do Winged Eyeliner

Every other post on tumblr is about how hard winged eyeliner is and I agree, man!  People make it seem easy but it's not!!! But really, this is how I do it and it really works and it's simple!!!

From left to right:

elf highlighter

Mary Kay cream eyeshadow in vanilla

Benefit eyeshadow in pink fancy

Step 1.) Put a primer on. I'm using elf highlighter as a base

Step 2.) Cream eyeshadow oooooh fancy

Step 3.) Powder eyeshadow so it stays fab

From left to right (duh):

elf waterproof eyeliner pen

Maybelline master duo liquid eyeliner

elf volumizing mascara

Wet n Wild eyeliner

Step 1.) Draw a line from the corner of ur eye up aiming toward the end of your eye brow. The angle that you want is all up to you! 

Step 2.) From the tip of the lil line u just drew, draw a line angled down to the mid point of your eye

Step 3.) Be really careful and do a thin line of the last inner third of your eye and baM! Winged eyeliner.

This will look different on your eye type but this method ends up looking good on all eye shapes!

Then since the waterproof eyeliner pen isn't very vivid I go over it with the Maybelline stuff. If you're badass and cool you can just do this with the liquid eyeliner but I can't. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

How To Do The Thing: DIY Silk Screen Printing

I'm taking a Graphic Design course at my school and at the moment one of our units was on silk screen printing, and I thought it was cool as frick. There are a few different methods but this is the most reliable way to get a nice print. 

Stuff You Need: 

Speedball Screen Printing Fluid $4.48 8 oz. (x)

Speedball Screen Filler $6.79 8 oz. (x)

A Silk Screen at the size of your choice. Prices range anywhere from $10-100+ depending on the quality and size. 

A squeegee. These cost anywhere from $5-30 

A brush of your size choice. This is a size 0 brush from my school.

A stencil is a good idea too, but you can do it free hand too. I made mine by printing out the imagine and they cutting out part I want with an exact-o knife.

You'll also need ink of your choice! If you're planning on printing on fabric make sure it's made to stay on fabric.

Step 1.)

If you're using a stencil, tape in on with painters tape. Use a brush with screen drawing fluid and yeah.

Step 2.)

Wait 'til the fluid is dry and remove the stencil. If there's anything you wanna change, just take some water on a q tip or brush.

Step 3.) 

This is def optional but I had to tape the edges because this is a school owned screen and they don't want it to get extra stained.

Step 4.) 

Apply screen filler to one end of your your screen.

Step 5.)

 Squeegee it across like sooooo.

 Step 6.)

When the screen filler is all dry wash off the screen drawing fluid with cold water (NO SOAP)

 Step 7.) 

Pick your fabric and make sure it'll hold the ink you're using! Tape it to the back of your screen. If you're printing a t-shirt make sure you have something under the first layer of the shirt so it doesn't bleed. 

Step 8.)

Apply the ink to one side and squeegee across like you did with the screen filler.

Step 9.) 

Carefully remove the fabric. 

Final product!!

Most inks are just water soluble and rinse off with cold water. As long as the screen filler is intact you can print and print until your lil heart goes out. When you're finally done, follow the directions on your screen filler to remove it from your your screen.
