His previous owner really loved Billy a whole lot. We're just trying to do the best we can to ensure that Billy stays healthy and happy <3.

None of the seraphim were obsolete, they were each convinced to join for different reasons. (That's mentioned on the page with all the painted angels.) There was also a considerable domino effect; some joined only because others had already. Not the best choice of bandwagons.
