Today I made this stupendously wonky mini bear 😂 He has no face (yet), & his paw pads and ears need adjustments, but overall he's turned out a lot better than expected. He's even jointed! 😯 Scaling down a project is a lot harder than you think; all the seams are smaller (he's popping in a few places 🙄), and the turns are a lot tighter on the sewing machine - I'll do a lot of this by hand next time. But this is how we learn and perfect things. It takes time to learn a craft, it takes longer to learn it properly! I see today as time well spent; others around me may not. But without learning something new and practicing as we go, we'll never master it. This is exactly why artists, crafters, bakers, makers... all deserve to be paid for their work, and the time and effort they put in. We don't just knock something up in 5 minutes; we take time to learn the skills we need to create something amazing for you, and often, that time is our own. We don't get paid for it. We are just passionate about what we do! This bear won't go in my shop.
