Las máscara de la calavera que aparece en Halloween lll : Season Of The Witch, puede ser vista por primera vez en la cinta House Of the Black Death (1965) esteralizada por Lon Chaney Jr. En dicha película, al igual que en Halloween lll, la hechicería juega un papel fundamental para la trama. Este fue el primer y único filme dentro de la saga de Halloween sin Michael Myers como antagonista principal. Si bien no hay mención de él dentro de la película, se le puede observar en un pequeño cameo.
