The Met Gala theme for 2021 is In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.

I can’t think of a more quintessential American designer right now than Tom Ford, who assumed the mantle left behind by legendary American designer Halston. You can’t get any more iconic in the world of American fashion than THAT.

Halston would be so proud, and perhaps more than a bit envious, of Tom Ford hosting the Met Gala with Timothée Chalamet, who himself is rewriting the rules of American men’s fashion. This stylish duo makes perfect sense.
