Adventures in Imagine Cup 2018 - Happy Hour Edition
Seattle is a culinary paradise filled with restaurants serving delicious cuisine, and one of the best times to visit these top Seattle restaurants is during its Happy Hour where diners can enjoy food and drinks at a fraction of the cost.
Here’s a list of my favorite places to enjoy a great meal at affordable prices:
1. Umi Sake House.
One of my all-time favorite Japanese restaurant in Seattle with great service and delicious Japanese cuisine that reminds me of my days spent in Tokyo.
My top food recommendations would be the fresh sashimi, the comforting warm miso soup, the rich pork ribs, the spicy ginger chicken, and the limited Hama Kama which sells out quickly during its dinner service.
2. Hamanasu Seattle.
If you like a dinner and a show, Hamanasu Seattle is the perfect restaurant where you will be entertained by the chef’s hilarious antics. Some of the main dish recommendations include lobster, beef, and tuna.
3. Japonessa.
Another great place to savor delicious Japanese cuisine is Japonessa which features a great Happy Hour menu comprising of signature sushi rolls, sashimi, popular dishes, and refreshing drinks.
My top recommendations would be Skin on Skin featuring salmon and avocado wrapped in thick slices of salmon, and Omakase Sashimi comprising an impressive selection of daily fresh cuts specially prepared by the chef.
4. Oriental Mart.
Oriental Mart is one of the best Filipino restaurants serving delicious and comforting Filipino cuisine. The restaurant is located in Pike Place Market and only caters to the lunch crowd. Get there early to grab seats and be entertained by the various hilarious messages plastered all over the restaurant.
I love the Pork Adobo which is cooked to perfection and served in generous portions. Remember to order a side of sweet and savory pork sausages to complement your meal.
5. Elliot’s Oyster House.
A visit to Seattle would be incomplete without a visit to the famous Elliot’s Oyster House and enjoying an oyster fiesta during its Happy Hour. Grab its chef’s selection of oysters at only $1.50 per piece from 3-4pm and $2.00 per piece from 4-5pm. The restaurant is popular with locals and tourists, so get there early to grab seats during its Happy Hour!
Looking forward to my next culinary adventure in Seattle!
